The next 4C Pulse release is focused on richer in-chat media, full group messaging, and improved message usability [FR-040–045, FR-050–053, FR-060–065]. This page will be updated as development progresses.

  • ✓ Create a group with a name and group picture.
  • ✓ Select multiple users when creating a group.
  • ✓ Add and remove members.
  • ✓ Group administrator(s) and administrator controls.
  • ✓ Transfer administrator rights.
  • ✓ View the group member list.
  • ✓ Send text and media to the entire group.
  • ✓ Delivery/read status for group messages.
  • ✓ Group conversation history.
  • ✓ Leave a group.
  • ✓ Appropriate handling when an administrator removes a member.
WORKSTREAM

Message Usability

  • Automatically detect URLs in messages and render them as clickable hyperlinks.
  • Support common web addresses such as https://, http://, and www. links.
  • URLs embedded within normal message text remain independently clickable.
  • Users can select text from any text message.
  • Selected message text can be copied using standard Android text-selection actions.
  • Standard Android sharing actions can be available for selected text where supported.
  • Clickable URLs and text selection work together without interfering with each other.

Development updates

We will keep this announcement page current as individual features move from planning to development, testing, and completion. The release scope may be refined during implementation to maintain security, reliability, and compatibility with existing 4C Pulse accounts and conversations.

Current release

4C Pulse v1.6 remains the current official Android release. The upcoming Media + Groups release will be published through the official download center when ready.
